Our Brains Have Learned, But Our Brains are Wrong













The right tower looks like it's leaning more to the right. But the images are the same. What's going on? Our brain thinks both buildings are in the same scene, and they should rise at the same angle and converge towards the top. This image was the 2007 winner of the Best Visual Illusion of the Year Contest, sponsored by the Neural Correlate Society.
