About the gun incident: "I wasn't using longevity thinking."

To some people, it's not just a silly prank when guns are involved.

On December 24, 2009, Gilbert Arenas, a Washington Wizards basketball player, had an incident with unloaded firearms in the locker room at the Verizon Center. Possessing the guns violated both National Basketball Association rules and strict local gun ordinances in the District of Columbia.

Later, Arenas was suspended without pay after he seemed to make light of the situation by pretending to shoot his teammates with guns made from his fingers during pregame introductions.

Arena, who is 28, earns $11,950,400 a year.
