Is this Japanese female robot deceptive?

Here she is, the 2009 model>>
Japanese engineers have created a robot that mimics singing. The robot, named HRP-4C, follows the movements of a live human and imitates mouth and head movements and the singer's breathing.

Says a spokesman: "We hope the entertainment industry will be able to make widespread use of robots."

The new and improved 2010 model>>

She also dances.

If this creeps you out, you might be experiencing the uncanny valley. That's when a robot is too realistic to be an obvious fake, but not realistic enough to be a convincing fake.
