Optical illusions as memorial and to protest

After over 50 protesters were killed in Tahrir Square in Egypt, the military rulers erected barriers to restrict movement. Graffitti artists responded with a "No Walls" protest; they painted trompe l'oeil murals to commemorate the dead and make the walls visually disappear.
